We are currently seeking expressions of interest to join the National Strategy for Volunteering Council. This is an independent body that will provide strategic oversight and ensure that the National Strategy meets its objectives.
The Council is essential to the ongoing implementation of the National Strategy as we pursue the Strategy’s vision: to put volunteering at the heart of Australia’s communities. Candidates will be selected to represent the skills and experiences required to provide appropriate oversight and governance for the National Strategy for Volunteering.
We encourage people of any age, experience and background to submit an expression of interest. The National Strategy for Volunteering is for everyone and diverse perspectives are welcome. Previous experience in volunteer leadership or strategic planning is highly valued, but not required. Please note that Council membership requires a commitment of at least one year. The National Strategy for Volunteering Council will have a focus on governance and oversight, but there will be many other ways to contribute to the National Strategy for Volunteering, including collaborative forums and working groups.
