National Volunteer Week 2024: ‘Something for Everyone’
We are pleased to announce the theme for National Volunteer Week 2024 is ‘Something for Everyone’.
National Volunteer Week 2024 will recognise the diverse passions and talents everyone brings to the act of volunteering.
It’s an invitation to explore the myriad of opportunities available, emphasising that there’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering. Whether you’re drawn to environmental causes, community outreach, education, or beyond, there’s a place where your unique skills and interests can flourish.
Let’s come together during National Volunteer Week, embracing this theme to showcase the vast spectrum of possibilities and the transformative impact that emerges when everyone finds their meaningful role in making a difference.
About National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week will be held on 20-26 May 2024.
Established in 1989, National Volunteer Week is the premier celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia. Each year, this special event provides an opportunity to highlight the important role of volunteers in our community and invites people not currently volunteering to give it a go. As the national peak body for volunteering, Volunteering Australia is the lead agency for National Volunteer Week and, in consultation with the state and territory Volunteering Peak Bodies, sets the theme, develops collateral and coordinates merchandise for the volunteering ecosystem.
Volunteering Australia will be producing digital resources and key messaging for you to share leading up to and during National Volunteer Week.
We encourage all volunteer involving organisations, governments, researchers, corporates, and other enabling organisations, to proudly promote the celebration and use the resources widely to help increase the awareness of the vital role volunteers play in our lives.
Resources will include logos, e-cards, certificates, invitations, posters, social media images, email and web banners, and printable selfie frames.
