Reasons for Volunteering
Our Toowoomba Regional Council volunteers are inspired to volunteer for an array of reasons, including giving back to community, connecting with others, helping people, learning new skills and for the joys of promoting the region and sharing life’s blessings.

Celebrating National Volunteer Week
We celebrated National Volunteer Week with our annual Mayoral Volunteer Thank You morning tea for Council and Council-affiliated volunteers. Over 200 volunteers, staff and Councillors rejoiced together, and many volunteers shared their ‘what inspires you to volunteer’ sentiments on our ‘Something for Everyone’ boards.
