Mutual obligation requirements are tasks and activities you need to do while receiving unemployment payments from the Australian Government. Some of the obligations may be met through volunteering.
As of 4 July 2022, jobactive has been replaced by a new system, Workforce Australia. Volunteering Australia and the State and Territory volunteering peak bodies are seeking further information about the new system and will communicate this as soon as it is available. Thank you for your patience.
We will be advocating to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations on the changes. We would like to hear about your experiences or concerns with the new system. Please contact Policy Officer, Jack McDermott or your State or Territory peak.
