Meet Pinky, a Volunteer at Crawford Lodge Cancer Council, sharing their story as part of our ‘Share Your Story’ series.
Inspired by Courage and Resilience
“Volunteering has always been a way for me to give back to the community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am inspired by the courage and resilience of the individuals and families affected by cancer, and I am motivated by the impact that even small actions can have on their well-being and hope. The sense of fulfillment and the opportunity to be part of a collective effort to fight cancer drives my passion for volunteering.”
Encouragement to Future Volunteers
“If you’re considering volunteering, I encourage you to take the leap. Volunteering is a rewarding experience that allows you to connect with others, learn new skills, and contribute to a cause you care about. It’s a way to make a tangible difference in your community and in the lives of those who need support. Plus, the sense of fulfillment and purpose that comes from helping others is truly priceless. Your time and effort can bring hope and positive change, so don’t hesitate to get involved.”
