Today, the 5 December, is International Volunteer Day, and is when the world acknowledges the efforts of volunteers in building stronger and more cohesive communities. This year’s theme – Volunteers build resilient communities – recognises the role volunteers play in strengthening local communities and advocating for change.
In celebration of International Volunteer Day, Volunteering Australia is also pleased to announce the new theme for National Volunteer Week 2019 – “Making a world of difference”, which will be held from 20-26 May. Logos are available for download from the Volunteering Australia website, with more information available over the coming months.
